Although Abbey Brook is 30 years older than us, we learned of it's existence quite recently (in the grand scheme of things) and did so pretty much by accident. Brian and Gill run the cacti nursery and specialise in different areas - Brian knows his Lithops and Gill prefers to take care of Echeveria but having been established for over 50 years, they both know a fair bit about what it takes to make plants thrive - especially in a country that isn't exactly what they're used to.

There are various National Collections housed in the show greenhouse (not for sale) including Lithops, Haworthia, Mamillaria, Echinopsis and Conophytum - all overflowing and intertwining. Our images will never compensate for the real deal so we recommend that you pay them a visit and pop some money in the collection box.

If some of that sounds overbearing and way too much Latin for you, we promise it doesn't feel like it when you're there...

Plants are for sale upwards from £1.
