Fairy Pools Glen Brittle — Isle of Skye in Scotland

This walk is no stranger to us; we did it a few years ago when we first visited the Isle of Skye but it rained like nobody’s business that time and so we felt we had to attempt it again in a different light.

The ‘fairy pools’ are a group of small waterfalls and (surprise surprise) pools along the river Brittle on the southwest of the island. The water is aquamarine in places and turns bright orange with the presence of iron - we loved the lines and textures here and the fascinating array of colours in the rocks.
