Whilst staying at Harp Cottage (see the House Tour here) we explored the towns of Presteigne and Knighton and stumbled upon one of the UK's oldest trees in a small village named Discoed. The Yew that lives in St Michael's churchyard was a runner-up in the Woodland Trust's Wales' Tree of the Year award and is believed to be over 5000 years old.
