Wyming Brook Nature Reserve Circular Walk — nr. Sheffield
Our first venture into Wyming Brook Nature Reserve was fruitful; we spent a good hour or so making our way down-river and thoroughly enjoyed stopping every few metres to take a photo.
The walk we did was simple with a distance of about 3km although it was very muddy underfoot with some seriously uneven paths and a steady hill on the way back:
— from the car park we took the right hand route down and crossed the water via stepping stones
— we followed the river all the way to the bottom of the hill
— at the bottom of the hill we saw glimpses of Rivelin Reservoir through the trees, here we found a gate to pass through and turned sharp left on the paved track
— a short walk lead to another sharp left turn where the track began to climb uphill
— we followed the track all the way back to the car park
