Inside The Crofter's House on the Isle of Skye
This morning brings our penultimate post from our Skye travels and because we're slap-bang in the middle of a busy week we thought we'd encourage a slowing of pace. People all around us are running around like headless chickens; decorating trees, panic-buying food and fluffing up the pillows in their spare rooms... We're encouraging you to forget all of that for now and get comfy with us in a little place called Camustianavaig or more precisely, The Crofter's House.
Traditional in sentiment but contemporary in practise, The Crofter's House accommodates 2 people and provided comfort and calm in (what was for us) a rather wild location. Wood-clad walls transported us overseas with Habitat furniture and Hay textiles further enhanced the Scandinavian feel. We particularly enjoyed the way that the light moved through the cottage during the short days and how the windows directed a soft glow across the wonky walls.
You can book your stay in The Crofter's House HERE.
We love simple spaces, considered design and a connection with nature. If you've got a holiday home that you'd like us to visit (and maybe even work our photographic magic on) then get in touch - we'd love to hear from you.
