Wilton Way House Tour — Bentley Hagen Hall
This morning Magnus and I are running around like headless chickens in an effort to prepare for our (now annual) trip to the Isle of Skye in Scotland. As we frantically tick tasks off our mile-long to-do list we thought we'd pretend that all is tranquil by sharing some of the photographs that we took a few weeks ago in a particularly calm-inducing London home.
Louis Hagen Hall and Catherine Verna Bentley joined forces last year to become Bentley Hagen Hall - an architectural and interior design practice based in the UK with studios in London and Sheffield, and they shared their home with us in all it's glory. With a diverse collective background (Louis studied architecture at the RCA and Catherine worked with recording artists before training in interior design at KLC) the two have a unique approach to interiors and that is evident in the complete redesign of the former print works in which they currently live.
We loved the change in levels from the living room to the office/spare bedroom/library area and the simplicity of the dividing curtain that can be drawn in between. We loved that there are no perpendicular lines in the place - we couldn't find a single right angle between us all and we loved the subtle celestial references in their belongings (check out the light shades!).
We'll leave you to get lost in the dazzling rays of Catherine and Louis's place whilst we pack up our raincoats, write watering notes for our house-sitter and try to remember everything that we might need with us (that we will inevitably forget to take). Enjoy...
Thank you to Bentley Hagen Hall for letting us go wild in their home.
